VLADIVOSTOK, RUSSIA – Typhoon Maysak is creating havoc throughout Asia, making landfall earlier today in Korea. The ninth typhoon of the season and the fourth to hit the peninsula this year left about 120,000 households without power across South Korea, officials said.
The Port of Vladivostok on Russia’s far east coast has also been hit hard by the typhoon which in strength is the equivalent of a Category 4 hurricane. Videos have also emerged of a floating dock from Vostochny Verf breaking free and slamming into some of the Pacific Fleet’s submarines.
