ZHUHAI, CHINA – There was a massive explosion at a petrochemical plant in Zhuhai in China’s southern Guangdong province on Tuesday afternoon, the Zhuhai Emergency Management Bureau said in a statement.

The explosion occurred at the Changlian Petrochemical Plant in the district of Gaolangang at around 1:40 pm and created a fireball that engulfed the plant.
