VIDEO: Bulker sinks in Black Sea. 4 bodies recovered.

ISTANBUL – Russian bulk cargo ship M/V ARVIN (IMO 8874316) sank in the Black Sea off the coast of Turkey on Sunday (January 17) in bad weather. The vessel is reported to have been underway from Poti Georgia to Burgas Bulgaria and sank after taking attempting to shelter from a storm.

Four crew members’ bodies have been recovered and three remain missing. Six other crew members, all Ukrainian nationals, have been rescued from lifeboats according to Turkish officials. Search and rescue operations have been suspended for the night but are continuing.
