Monday Morning Happy: Dog saved from flooding in Mexico

PortandTerminal.com, November 15, 2020

HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA – There’s no shortage of bad news to report. It seems these days that is most of what we do here at PortandTerminal.com. This morning though as you roll into work, whether it be physically or remotely, start your week off right with the smallest sliver of happy news.

A scared, wet dog was saved by some good people in Mexico. Torrential rain from Hurricane Eta and water discharged from a dam that had reached capacity meant continued flooding in parts of the southern Mexican state of Tabasco Thursday. A dog got caught up in the flooding and was saved.

That’s it. There’s nothing else to this story. The post below though has resonated with a lot of people who feel like we do. Tired. Worn down by the pandemic and a bit numb to suffering. Feeling the same way? You’re not alone. As of Sunday night, the video in the tweet below has racked up over 2.7 million views.

Watch a little sliver of happiness as you start your week off. Be safe, help where you can, and have a good one.
