HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA – Today’s Maritime Image of the Day, “Loch Fada Cotton Wool” was taken to be viewed in portrait mode. Click the image above to see it as it was meant to be seen. It was a tough choice between the spring photo of Loch Fada and the autumn photo below it – we chose the green spring version for its sense of optimism – much needed during a pandemic. Both are wonderful though.

About the photographer

Nick Hanson is a multi-award-winning photographer from Dumfries, South West Scotland, who currently splits his time between the Isle of Skye, where he leads photography workshops and tours for Skye Photo Academy, and Wales where he runs his own photography workshops during the winter.

Nick is also a CAA certified drone pilot, having completed a PfCO (Permission for Commercial Operations) course.

Hanson’s work has been featured in magazines such as Outdoor Photography, Practical Photography and Amateur Photographer.
