HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA – The winners of the inaugural Nature TTL Photographer of the Year 2020 competition have been announced.
The international competition saw 7,000 entries from wildlife, landscape, and macro photographers across 117 different countries
French photographer Florian Ledoux took the winning photo, entitled “Above the Crabeater Seals”, in Antarctica.
“For me, it is very important to show the state of the Arctic and Antarctic regions,” he said.
“It is also important that anyone inspired by this style of drone image understands the importance of wildlife, and being ethical in your approach.
“Ensure that your drone does not spook animals or disturb them, and always conduct yourself within accordance of local regulations.”
Mr Ledoux’s entry was chosen from 7,000 other entries from 117 different countries to win Nature TTL Photographer of the Year 2020.
Photographer Florian Ledoux
Florian is an award-winning photographer, including Drone Photographer of the year 2018.
His work has been published in magazines like National Geographic, Time US, Géo France and Spain, Oceanographic UK, National Geographic Traveler, as well as in the international daily press.
His engagement to bring new and meaningful images is also recognized by conservation organism such as the International Union for the Conservation of Nature.
