Maritime Collector: The 1954 Kom-Pak Sportsman Travel Trailer w/ Fishing Boat Roof

HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA – Check out this rare 1954 Kom-Pak Sportsman Travel Trailer which was manufactured in Medford, OR in the early ’50s.

Designed in the same style as the 53/54 Fords, the most unique feature is the fully functional, removable 16′ fishing boat which doubles as the roof of the trailer when not in use. When the boat is removed there are support bows for a canvas top as you can see in one of the photos below.

Back in the day, the trailer sold for $1,595 FOB Medford, OR. Reportedly, just the trailer will sell for at $25 – $30k today if it is nicely restored (see example below).
