Maersk’s chairman and the liner company’s former CEO have banded together with three other prominent business people to launch More Ships.
The Danish publication Finans is reporting that a who’s who of Danish business elites have joined forces to launch a new company called More Ships. The founders include Maersk’s chairman and the liner company’s former CEO.
The founders of More Ships ApS have experience from top positions at companies such as A.P. Moeller-Maersk, Danske Bank, Nordea, Carlsberg, Salling Group and Axcel.
More Ships is founded by Maersk Chairman Jim Hagemann Snabe, former Maersk Group CEO Nils Smedegaard Andersen, Ole Andersen, Christian Clausen and Christian Frigast.
All of the founding members are being very tight-lipped about the new venture.

The “very small company” the former Maersk Group CEO refers to has a combined book capital of around DKK 950 million (USD 141.4 million).

Danish daily Finans noted: “There are very few companies in Denmark that can showcase such distinguished CVs that the people behind newly founded More Ships can boast.”
