Kuwait has bans foreign ships, except those carrying oil, from departing to or arriving from several countries to prevent the spread of the coronavirus

KUWAIT CITY – Kuwaiti ports will not receive foreign vessels arriving from or departing to China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Italy, Thailand and Iraq, until further notice.

Kuwait’s ministry of communications emphasized that arrivals “of any nationality” from the stated countries are now banned.

Oil sector ships are excluded from the ban, the authorities said in a separate notice dated Feb. 25 and seen by Reuters.
