Seattle-based UnCruise Adventures resumed cruising this weekend from Juneau aboard its small Wilderness Adventurer, with just 37 passengers and 30 crew
SEATTLE– On a weekend when at least two cruise lines in Europe have badly stumbled as they tried to restart cruising, a small boutique cruise ship company called UnCruise Adventures has restarted cruises to Alaska. They will be the only small boat cruise line setting sail in Southeast Alaska this summer.
The cruise line’s CEO Dan Blanchard was there to welcome guests as they boarded and to ensure that security and safety measures were being strictly adhered to.
Uncruise Adventures credits its travel relaunch to pivoting quickly as a small business along with establishing crucial conversations with government officials and leading the Small Boat Operators Coalition.
“It’s a monumental day when we can set sail with extra precaution in these times. Today, UnCruise Adventures CEO saw the boat off from Juneau!”Dan Blanchard. CEO, UnCruise Adventures
