SANTA CLARITA, CA – On the heels of Viking’s announcement today that it was suspending all of its cruises, Carnival Corporation announced that it is also suspending operations of the Princess Cruises line of ships after two of them became epicenters for the spread of the coronavirus.

The 18 Princess Cruises ships will stop sailing for at least two months. The news comes just a few days after the US State Department warned citizens against traveling on cruise ships in order to mitigate the risk of spreading the virus.

Other countries including Canada have also warned their citizens in the strongest terms possible to avoid going on cruises due to the risk of coronavirus.
