PortandTerminal.com, October 12, 2020

Many feel the cancelations are for the better | Health officials in Florida reported 5,570 new cases of coronavirus on Saturday, the state is bracing to become “like a house on fire,” an infectious disease expert says.

MIAMI – Carnival Cruise announced today that it is cancelling all remaining cruises from PortMiami and Port Canaveral through November.

Earlier in October Carnival announced that it was cancelling cruises all U.S. homeports except Miami and Port Canaveral for November and December 2020.

For now, the company says that December cruises out of Miami and Canaveral still remain in place while it evaluates its options.

Last week, Carnival Corp CCL.N, the parent company of Carnival Cruise Lines, reported a smaller-than-expected quarterly loss and said advanced bookings for next year were improving, indicating renewed demand for cruising.
