BEIRUT – There has been another large explosion in Lebanon – this time in Ain Qana, a hill-top town in southern Lebanon with a population of 5,585, located about 30 miles south of Beirut. While significant, this latest explosion is nowhere near as large as the explosion that destroyed much of the Port of Beirut in August.
Details are still unclear but it appears as if a gas station may have been involved in some sort of incident. Local citizens report a major explosion that was heard as far away as Israel. Cause unknown at this time.
