This year’s ranking by JOC shows that America’s imports continue to gallop ahead of its exports.

In 2018 the Top 25 ports in America imported almost 2 million more TEUs than they did in 2017.

Exports, on the other hand, grew by far less. In 2018 America’s Top 25 ports exported just 140 thousand TEUs more than it did in 2017. That’s the equivalent of just 10 fully laden, large container vessels (@14,000 TEU each).
